OUR MISSION:

Summit Lost Pet Rescue is an animal protection and welfare organization devoted to educating the public about lost pet prevention, finding lost pets in Summit County, Colorado and reuniting them with their owners.

We are 100% donation based and donations go directly toward resources and supplies to help find lost pets. If you'd like to donate, please click on the Donate link.

**Due to the high volume of lost reports we receive, we may have limited number of volunteers and resources, and may not be able to assist on every search.

**Our team, which consists of Rescue Volunteers based in Summit County, will do our very best to assist the owner in finding their lost pet in Summit County, as it is our passion to save every single lost pet.

**It is SO important that the owners partner with us and are highly involved in the rescue mission.

Summary of Services

Educate the community about Lost Pet Prevention & how to avoid losing or becoming separated from their pets.
Educate the community about what steps to take once they have lost their pet(s).
Educate the community about what to do/what not to do when spotting lost or stray pets.
Once a pet has been deemed to have been “lost” and is in Summit County, CO, the owner can reach out to us for our services. Our team will then communicate with the owner to share our search protocols, calming techniques and gather information on the lost pet. If the pet is lost in Summit County, then we will do our best to work with & partner with the owner to help find their lost pet
Post lost pets to various social media along with updates and what to do/not do to help locate lost pets.
Maintain internet website as well as social media sites to educate and inform the public.
If the pet is lost outside of Summit County, then we will share our search protocol techniques with the owner.
**We apologize that we do NOT have the capability to travel outside of Summit County, due to our limited volunteers and resources being in Summit. We happily share our search protocols to people outside of Summit. Please follow our search protocols that we have listed in detail on our Lost A Pet tab at www.lostpetrescue.org/lost-pet
